Rhonda Lakip-Ochoa is owner & founder of A Healing Touch Massage Therapy/Spa, LLC.
After having a rewarding career in the corporate world, I took a buyout from one of the automotive companies in search for my true calling. What a better way to clear my mind and meditate than to get a massage. That is when I knew what I wanted to do. Going to massage school while also being a caregiver to seniors, in order to pay the bills, I would frequently pratice my techniques on the seniors. They absolutely loved it. I vowed then I would do whatever I could to help seniors & people in need by massaging them.
When I graduated in June, 2009 I looked for a massage company that catered to seniors just to find out that there were none, so that is when A Healing Touch Massage Therapy/Spa, LLC was created.
In October, 2009 my mother died of cancer. During her difficult times, I would give her massages to help relax and relieve some of her pains. I promise her that I would help others going through cancer by my gift of massage services.
I started in a Senior Center in 2009 and grew the business from there. We are in eight different assisted living facilities and a store called Creative Design/Creative Care and also A Healing Garden (non-profit organization) where we do many free massages for people who are going through cancer treatments. We have a staff of 7 certified massage therapists who are also in the caregiving field.
I promised my seniors & my mom that I would do what ever I could to help more people experience all the benefits that massage has to offer.
